I kept asking Crew to come early. I didn't want a December birthday, but I knew that I was going to let him pick his own birthday and not be induced. But a 12/12/12 birthday would be pretty cool too.
It all began Thanksgiving day...
Bryan and I had some major black Friday shopping we wanted to get done before Crew got here. We pulled an all nighter and by the end of the shopping we were very pleased with our purchases and also sick with how much we spent. We finally got to bed around 7 in the morning. Woke up around noon and started decorating the apartment for Christmas. I had to go to work that night at 6 pm (I work the night shift). At work I was just getting ready to eat my dinner, I reached down in the fridge to get my water bottle and POP! My water broke around 9 pm. I started freaking out and the one thing on my mind was... I thought I had 3 weeks left of sleeping through the night and now those nights are over.
So Bryan came and picked me up from work and we got to the Hospital around 9:30 pm. We had an awesome nurse. She started me on the Pitocin and got the epidural soon after (Epidurals are sooooooo amazing). Then I had Crew 5:17 that next morning. Bryan was falling asleep during the pushing part. Can you blame him going two nights without sleep. It was a good experience and I thought everything went very smoothly. After Crew was born the only problem that he had was a low blood sugar (probably a withdrawal from not getting loads of sugar from me). That problem soon corrected itself and he was as healthy as a baby can be and super CUTE.
